RHP Jason Jennings (right ulnar nerve irritation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 1. He had not yet begun throwing as of May 7.

3B Hank Blalock (torn left hamstring) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 26. He will miss at least three to four weeks.

RHP Luis Mendoza (right shoulder inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 24. He will throw a simulated game during the weekend of May 9-11 in advance of an expected two rehab starts.

OF Marlon Byrd (left knee inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list April 17. He's expected to begin a rehab stint with Class AAA Oklahoma City on May 10, and he could be activated May 13 if all goes well.

RHP Dustin Nippert (right foot soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list April 22. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma on May 2.

RHP Thomas Diamond (Tommy John surgery in March 2008) was recalled from the minors and placed on the 60-day disabled list April 17. He is out for the season.

RHP Brandon McCarthy (right elbow inflammation) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He began a throwing program at the club's training facility in Surprise, Ariz., on April 4.

LHP John Rheinecker (thoracic outlet syndrome) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He is not expected to pitch until June or July after undergoing surgery to remove a rib that was compressing an artery leading to his arm.
