DH/OF Frank Catalanotto (sore groin) didn't play Sept. 10-21.

RHP Brandon McCarthy (ligament damage in right middle finger) left the Sept. 15 game and probably is out for the season.

RHP Joaquin Benoit (sore right shoulder) hasn't pitched since Sept. 7.

C Jarrod Saltalamacchia (right forearm strain) left the Sept. 1 game with the injury, and he is out for the season. He will try to play winter ball.

OF David Murphy (right posterior cruciate ligament strain) went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 7. He received a cortisone injection Sept. 8, but it remained unclear whether he would play again this season.

2B Ian Kinsler (sports hernia near right groin) went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 18. He had season-ending surgery Sept. 11.

LHP John Rheinecker (thoracic outlet syndrome) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He had surgery to remove a rib that was compressing an artery leading to his arm. He began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona League on Aug. 13.

RHP Doug Mathis (right shoulder inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list Sept. 2. He had season-ending surgery Sept. 5.

RHP Eric Hurley (right shoulder tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 28. He had returned for just one start after spending June 30-July 26 on the DL with a left hamstring strain. He was shut down for the season on Sept. 3.

LHP A.J. Murray (strained left rotator cuff) went on the 15-day disabled list June 4, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Aug. 7.

LHP C.J. Wilson (bone spurs in left elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 6. He had season-ending surgery Aug. 13.

LHP Kason Gabbard (left shoulder inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list June 29, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Aug. 1. He had season-ending surgery during the All-Star break.

RHP Jason Jennings (torn flexor tendon in right forearm) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 1, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 29. He underwent season-ending surgery May 30.
