3B Hank Blalock (torn left hamstring, inflamed right wrist) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 26 with the hamstring injury. He was expected to be activated May 23 but was sidelined by carpal tunnel syndrome. He will be re-evaluated May 30.

RHP Jason Jennings (right ulnar nerve irritation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 1. He had not yet begun throwing as of May 7.

RHP Luis Mendoza (right shoulder inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 24. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma on May 14, but he had to stop after an inning with the beginnings of a blister on his right hand. He made another rehab start May 26.

RHP Dustin Nippert (right foot soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list April 22. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma on May 2.

RHP Thomas Diamond (Tommy John surgery in March 2007) was recalled from the minors and placed on the 60-day disabled list April 17. He began a rehab assignment with Class AA Frisco on May 21.

RHP Brandon McCarthy (right elbow inflammation) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He began a throwing program in early April, then was shut down due to inflammation. He planned to resume throwing in late May.

LHP John Rheinecker (thoracic outlet syndrome) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He is not expected to pitch until June or July after undergoing surgery to remove a rib that was compressing an artery leading to his arm.
