Even though he was an All-Star this season for the first time and is just one point out of the lead in the American League batting race, Milton Bradley faces yet another offseason in which his future will be in limbo.

Bradley, who did not play Saturday or Sunday because of a sore left wrist, is expected back in the lineup Tuesday. He has played in only 114 games this season, continuing a career-long string of injuries.

Bringing him back next season is not a certainty, manager Ron Washington told the Dallas Morning News on Sunday, even though Bradley has shown he can be an asset.

"You're never 100 percent confident (that a free agent will return)," Washington said. "I know he wants to be here and I know we want him here. It's just a matter of how that gets done. He's productive and makes other things happen in the lineup. Who wouldn't want that?"

Part of the issue is that the Rangers' outfield picture is crowded. Josh Hamilton, David Murphy, Marlon Byrd and Nelson Cruz also are in the mix. But Washington emphasized that having to make choices "is a good problem to have."
