Laird headed to Tigers, report says
LAS VEGAS - The Rangers and Detroit Tigers agreed to a trade Sunday that would send catcher Gerald Laird to Detroit for right-hander Guillermo Moscoso and a second prospect, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Rangers officials acknowledged that they are talking to the Tigers.

The deal likely will be announced this morning, the first full day of Major League Baseball's winter meetings.

The right-handed Moscoso, 25, was 5-4 with a 2.70 ERA in 21 games, 12 of those starts, for Class A Lakeland and Double-A Erie.

Laird, 29, batted .276 with six homers and 41 RBIs in 95 games.

Bradley declines arbitration: Rangers outfielder Milton Bradley declined arbitration offered by the club, as expected on Sunday.

If Bradley, a Type B free agent, signs with another team, the Rangers would receive a supplemental pick between the first and second rounds of the 2009 amateur draft.

Bradley, who made $5.25 million last season, hit .321 with 22 homers and 77 RBIs in 126 games (414 at-bats), mostly as the Rangers' cleanup hitter.

Briefly: Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler's daughter, Rian Brooklynn Kinsler, was born Dec. 5. She weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces.
