Hamilton's status is day-to-day.

The All-Star slugger hit his 26th home run in the fourth inning and drove in two runs to increase his Major League leading RBI total to 106.

Marlon Byrd, who started the game in right field, took Hamilton's place in center. David Murphy moved from left to right field, and Brandon Boggs entered the game to play left.

The game time temperature was 100 degrees, and Hamilton was playing in the field for the first time since Tuesday. Hamilton was the designated hitter the last two games.
