Baseball first for Young
Apr. 25, 2009 (The Dallas Morning News delivered by Newstex ) --

Michael Young is the first player in major-league history to hit three ninth-inning home runs in a five-game span that either tied the game or put his team ahead. Research provided to the Rangers by SABR showed that Young is the 11th player to hit three ninth-inning homers in five days, but none of the previous 10 players -- a list that includes Joe DiMaggio and Henry Aaron -- did what Young has done.
